Lume - A Simple Pattern for Color Play
Wow, it’s really been a while since I last wrote and shared my thoughts in a blog post. Back in May, I dove into the exciting process of crafting another quilt pattern, which turned out to be much easier the second time around compared to my first attempt. Since I adore the look of a simple quilt that prominently features vibrant colors or playful prints as the main focus, I decided to put my spin on a version of a traditional block known as Jacob’s Ladder. My unique version of this classic block creatively combines a four-patch block with delightful half-square triangles. Using fabric solids and various prints can truly bring so much rich texture and visual interest to a quilt. A few of my talented pattern testers opted to use prints for their creations, and I must say, their quilts turned out absolutely beautifully!
I added an easy way to make four-square blocks in the fun Lume Quilt Pattern, which speeds up the process and makes it more enjoyable. I've also been working on video tutorials for my latest Pinery Pillow Pattern design. Plus, I plan to create a new tutorial section that will be easy for everyone to access, so stay tuned for updates!
